Well, Mother’s Day has come and gone, and what a lovely day I had. My daughter Kristen brought me and herself tickets to the movies to see Made of Honor, a real girly movie. Graeme was at work so off we both went and enjoyed the movie and after had lunch together. She also spoiled me with beautiful cream and red roses. But it’s not the gifts ,it’s the time spent together that matters. After dropping her at her house, I returned home to receive a message on the answering machine that Nathan my son, had rung. So I was upset to have missed him, but not giving up he rang again and we chatted as we often do. And so my day was complete, then Graeme comes home with a bottle of Irish Cream. What can I say but I am a lucky person indeed .Not for the gifts but for having a great and loving family. A great husband, and two wonderful children who have bought nothing but happiness to my life. I now await the birth of my granddaughter in September. What a month that will be. She will not be my first grandchild, as I have twin grandsons, who sadly passed away shortly after birth, but Charlie and Jackson are thought of every day and will always be missed. So this little girl will have to put up with a nanna who will shower her with the hugs and kisses I couldn’t give to the boys. I also miss greatly my darling granddaughter Hayden who lives in the U.S. but these things cannot be changed so we move forward. Anyway love to all mums out there, and enjoy every minute you have with your families.
