Went back to work last week, and I must admit I quite enjoyed being there.  I was very tired after each day but that was ok.  Hoping to plant a tree out front today in our new garden.  Hoping that is, as the rain keeps coming and going. I mustn’t complain about the rain as we still a whole bucket load of the stuff.

Happy Father’s Day to all out there. I think Graeme’s day was pretty good. First he got his skype call from Nathan and Lauren and of course Casey. After a chat and best wishes exchanged , Kristen finally emerged to wish him a happy day and present him with his presents. I must explain that Kristen is a late sleeper on Sundays , so this is a raw thing for her to do. So phone call done, and breakfast eaten, we decided to go off to Costco and see what was there we might need. Back home for lunch,  then Kristen went home and Graeme settled in to watch his beloved Saints take on Collingwood. A great win by the Saints (28 points).

So I think all is well in the Allan household, and we wait to see who will play Graeme’s team in the next final.

Today is a day of great happiness and sadness in the Allan family. You see the 1st of September is the birthday for my three grandchildren. 2007 brought us the early birth of my grandsons Charlie and Jackson, sadly they were so small they weren’t with us long and now live forever in our hearts and thoughts. I think of that day and of course wonder what they would be like today if they had survived. I have a little tear and then a small smile for them but then we have to move on, as everyone tells you, but they will always be with me this I know.

Then low and behold 2008 brought us our beautiful granddaughter Lauren. What a joy she is for everyone in the family.  She was early too, but I think she came to ease our pain on this day, and she has.

So, Happy Birthday my beautiful grand children, I love you all. Kisses and hugs and a few tears as well.
